A bit of fun randomness from your Reno photographer. Enjoy.
I was just thinking about a conversation from quite a while back with my other half and burst out laughing, so I felt the need to share. Also, by other half, I do mean my significant other and not my alter personality. We were leaving the car to take our boys to an event, so I grabbed my lens, but couldn’t locate my body. I asked Tom to help me find it, but I located it moments later (too many bags for this mother on a Saturday morning). Once I found it he immediately said, “don’t ever do that again!”.
I frowned at him and used this opportunity to educate him on an important matter. I looked at him with the body in one hand and the lens in the other hand and said, “if something ever happens and you have a choice to grab lenses or grab this body, you be sure to grab the lenses, okay?” He chuckled, but I think I got my point across well enough! That body is certainly not the Mark III to say the least.
Do your significant others not realize the value in the equipment you’re working with? Can they tell one piece of equipment over another? Would they know what to do in the event of an emergency and had to “grab and go”?! I think mine is better prepared now.
The lens in question? This one below. Yes, dear, please grab this lens over my backup body any day!
Huong Forrest Photography is the passion, vision and dream of one Reno photographer, Huong Forrest. I specialize in newborn photography and have a great passion for capturing Reno's tiniest new residents. I also adore capturing the innocence of babies and children, the love and passion of a newlywed couple and their wedding and I greatly enjoy revealing the beauty, confidence and fierceness of your everyday woman.
I am a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America and The Chamber of Commerce. When I'm not with my clients, you will find me running around with my two adorable sons, giving back where I can in several photography forums and blogging about business, photography and motherhood.
