Reno Photographer | Spring Cleaning
Now that it’s officially spring (yes, despite what the weather may look like outside your windows), I think a lot of people are thinking about spring cleaning! I’ve always wondered who thought of this “spring cleaning” idea. (Seriously, I don’t need another reason to clean, but maybe some do need this boost!)
I came across a helpful article from good ol’ Martha Stewart with their recommendations on what to include in your spring cleaning routine. Here are the bullet points:
- Clean windows
- Dust lightbulbs
- Wash your blinds
- Stock your stain-fighting kit
- Update bed linens
- Switch it up (ceiling fans)
- Protect wooden floors
- Clean out the refrigerator
- Restock homekeeping supplies (I call these cleaning supplies)
- Deep clean carpets and rugs
- Clean your curtains
- Replace batteries in smoke detectors
It sounds like I still have a LOT to do if I am following along with Martha’s list! Visit the entire Spring Cleaning: Spring-Cleaning Basics article to read more direct from Martha herself! I would love to have this list accomplished before mid-April, while it’s still Spring of course and not drag it out until it’s time to for Fall cleaning (which is what generally seems to happen). I also have personal goals to purge a lot of toddler clothes, purge my photography props and finally re-organize the “prop room” along with my office. Yes, tall order here! I will NOT be sharing any before pics of these spaces, but I would be thrilled to do so once I’ve completed my goal.
Do you have Spring cleaning tasks each year? What’s on your list? I wonder what my friend Tara in North Carolina has to say about spring cleaning! Visit Tara’s blog to find out what this Fayetteville NC photographer is up to in her part of the country!
