My name is Huong. Come again? Huong. That’s pronounced a bit like “Hong” in Hong Kong, so get over your fear of calling me and know that I’ve heard every possible version of my name and I’m open to hearing new ones. Really, I’m not one to stifle creativity! You already know I love photography, otherwise you wouldn’t be here, so who am I?
I am Huong. I’m a Vietnamese-American born in Los Angeles, California, have lived in eight-ish cities during the course of my life thus far and am currently in Reno, Nevada.
I am a wife and mother. I am married to a wonderful and patient man and we have two dashingly handsome boys. Not a day goes by that we aren’t amazed at how brilliant, funny and incredibly sassy they are (my husband says they definitely get that last bit from me and I can’t say I disagree).
I am a lover of life, a child of faith. I love babies and beauty; Starbucks and chocolate; shoes and makeup. And fried chicken. Oh how I LOVE fried chicken. Nom, nom, nom!
I am a nerd, a photographer, a designer. I love books, cameras, computers and any gadget that I get my hands on.
I am an entertainer. I love to dance and move and to pretend I sing really well, too. When I was a young girl, I aspired to be a Los Angeles Lakers Girl. When I grew up, I had the incredible opportunity to dance, move and sing with the Kansas City Chiefs organization and I thoroughly enjoyed living that dream.
I am an entrepreneur and a boutique business owner. It’s in my bloodline and I love being a visionary and bringing my dreams to life. I work hard for everything I have and appreciate and respect my parents so much for instilling such a work ethic in me at a very young age. I’ve built my business on dreams, visions and relationships.
This is me in a big nutshell. I’ve been blessed to have many wonderful moments in life so far and to have captured them with a camera that never leaves my side. I view life moment to moment: suspended in time, a keepsake for generations to come, a memory that will forever imprint my heart and my soul. This is what I desire for each of my clients to have with their own special moments and memories. I’d love the opportunity to learn more about you and your family and the memories you would like to capture! To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it. — Osho
