Reno Childrens Photographer | A Personal Photo
It’s Thursday and I’m blogging with my fellow photographers on a topic we all have a few words to write about: a personal photo. I realize you probably see three photos below, BUT I couldn’t help the series and I love it so much. My family and I went on a mini getaway to LA very recently and I (of course) chased them around with my camera while they played. I captured some gorgeous photos of them playing on the beach and getting a feel for the Pacific Ocean and several of the images just really pulled me in. I’ve decided to print them HUGE and create a cluster of black and white images for a wall in my home somewhere (not sure exactly where yet).
Why did I pick these photos? They depict my children just as they are, enjoying a new experience and I want them to have these photos, prints, canvases to remind them of these moments, to tell a story and to help them remember their life. I get asked quite often how I manage to enjoy experiences with my children and capture all these moments at the same time. You see, I have no to few photos from my birth, as a newborn and as a toddler. There’s no doubt my parents took photographs of us as they love photos and I recall seeing them in my younger years, but the prints are no where to be found nowadays. I think printed products are very powerful and when someone sees the photos, there’s always a story to tell. Those stories strengthen memories and experiences and create incredible emotions and feelings. That’s why I take so many personal photos. Each photo tells a story and life is made up of many stories!
